Capoeira


Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art form (non contact) that combines dance, acrobatics, and music.  

Now offered through CHMS at:

La Maestra Generationsprogram partnership,  FREE INTRODUCTORY CLASSES on October 6th and 7th!  Classes meet on Fridays from 6:00-6:45pm for teens/adults and Saturdays from 10:00-10:30 for 2-6 year olds, 10:30-11:00am for 7-10 year olds and 11:00-11:30am for 11-14 year olds, located at 4185 Fairmount Ave.

Rising Star Preschool, Mondays from 10:00-11:00am.

Introducing CAPOEIRA with KIWI:  This program will help improve hand-eye coordination, flexibility, strength, balance and gross motor skills through developmental Martial Arts activities such as learning to kick, cartwheel, tumble, sing (in Portuguese), play instruments, dance and more. Lead by Graduado teacher Rebecca ‘Kiwi’ Farrant, the students also build self-discipline, self confidence and listening skills.  

With 10 years experience training capoeira and 5 years of teaching in schools and in her own dance and culture studio located in Mission Hills, Rebecca (nickname “Kiwi”) is excited to expand and bring the beautiful art and knowledge of Capoeira to you!
