Violin, Cello, String Ensemble, and City Strings

Based in the Learning Together, fiddle, and traditional methods, the Violin and Cello classes focus on sound, memory, technical accuracy, and musicality.  Etudes and rhythm exercises are part of every class.  Ensemble playing is introduced to students at an early stage through duets and trios.

The String Ensemble (advanced beginner to intermediate) and City Strings (intermediate to advanced) offers an opportunity for  musicians to play and perform together on a variety of repertoire.  All aspects of technique and style are explored as musicians learn to create a ‘conversation’ with other musicians through music.
